1Our Services

Shotbychriz_ is a Nottingham-based photography, videography and content creation business specialising in:

• Portraits, family photography and personal branding.
• Corporate photography and business branding.
• Weddings, celebrations and event coverage.
• Sports photography and videography.
• Promotional videos and social media content.
• Product, lifestyle and brand storytelling content.

Your booking confirmation will specify the services purchased, coverage hours, location, deliverables, editing arrangements, usage rights and total price.

Only services and deliverables expressly included in your agreed package form part of your booking.

2Booking & Payment

A 60% deposit is required to secure your booking. Your date is confirmed once Shotbychriz_ receives the deposit and issues written confirmation.

The remaining 40% balance must be paid before or on the day of the session, before coverage begins, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Payments may be made by bank transfer or another agreed method. All prices are quoted in pounds sterling.

Any travel, accommodation, parking, venue hire or other additional charges will be disclosed and agreed before they are incurred.

3Client Cancellation & Refunds

Please send cancellation requests in writing to info@shotbychriz.com.

Our standard cancellation arrangement is to refund 30% of the total booking price from the 60% deposit, retaining the other 30% to cover losses arising from the cancellation.

Example: For a £500 booking, the deposit is £300. Under this arrangement, £150 is refunded and £150 is retained.

However, the amount retained will not exceed our reasonable net losses directly resulting from your cancellation. We will account for costs saved and any replacement booking secured, and refund more where appropriate. We will explain any deductions on request.

Any balance paid beyond the deposit will be refunded, subject to any separately agreed, lawful charges for services already provided.

This policy does not restrict statutory cancellation or refund rights.

4Statutory Cancellation Rights

Some consumer bookings made online, by telephone or away from our business premises may qualify for a statutory 14-day cancellation period. Where this applies, we will provide the relevant cancellation information before booking.

If you expressly request that services begin during that period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services supplied before cancellation, where the law permits.

Any loss of the statutory cancellation right following full performance requires the consent and acknowledgement prescribed by law. Where statutory rights apply, they take priority over our standard cancellation policy.

5Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests must be made in writing.

With at least 48 hours’ notice, your deposit may be transferred to a mutually agreed available date.

Requests made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be considered individually. Any charge for rescheduling must reflect reasonable additional costs or losses and will be explained before you agree.

A change of location, duration, scope or package may affect the total price. Any revised price must be agreed in writing.

If no suitable replacement date can be agreed, the cancellation provisions apply, subject to your statutory rights.

6Cancellation by Shotbychriz_

If Shotbychriz_ is unable to fulfil your booking, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible.

Where appropriate, we may offer a replacement professional or an alternative date, subject to your approval. You are not obliged to accept either option.

If we cancel before providing any services and no alternative is agreed, you will receive a full refund. Where services have been partially provided, any refund will reflect the circumstances and your legal rights.

7Session Timing & Client Responsibilities

Please arrive ready to begin at the agreed time. Client delays may reduce the available shooting time because we may have other bookings afterwards.

For events, please provide the schedule, venue details, key contacts and any priority shots or moments in advance.

You are responsible for arranging venue access and any permissions allocated to you in the booking agreement.

We will make reasonable efforts to capture requested images and footage. Coverage may be affected by venue restrictions, lighting, weather, guest cooperation, access limitations or unexpected changes to the event schedule.

A parent or responsible adult must supervise children throughout a session.

8Additional Time & Optional Extras

Once the package has been finalised and the session has started, additional coverage is available at £100 per hour, subject to availability.

Any extension and its cost must be agreed before extra coverage begins. Charges for a partial additional hour will also be agreed in advance.

Extra edited photographs, additional video edits, reels, frames, prints and photobooks may be purchased separately at the prices confirmed when ordering.

9Creative Style, Editing & Revisions

Please review the Shotbychriz_ portfolio before booking to understand our visual style.

Editing may include colour correction, exposure adjustments, cropping, audio balancing and other refinements appropriate to the package.

Extensive retouching, body reshaping, object removal, complex visual effects or substantial changes to an approved brief are included only where expressly agreed.

For video and content creation packages, the booking confirmation will state the included revisions. Additional revisions or changes to the original brief will be quoted separately.

RAW photographs, unedited footage and editable project files are not included unless specifically agreed in writing.

These provisions do not affect your rights if the delivered work fails to meet the agreed requirements.

10Delivery Times

Our standard photography turnaround times are:

• Portrait sessions: 7–14 working days.
• Wedding and event photography: 3–4 weeks.

Videography and content creation delivery dates will be confirmed for each project, according to its length, complexity and agreed deliverables.

Unless stated otherwise, turnaround begins after the session. If client selections, feedback or materials are needed, we will explain how delays in receiving them affect delivery.

Working days exclude weekends and public holidays in England.

If a delay arises, we will inform you and discuss a revised delivery date.

11Express Delivery

Delivery within 24–48 hours may be available for an additional £70, subject to written confirmation from Shotbychriz_.

Express delivery is not automatically available for every booking. Before payment, we will confirm the specific photographs, video or content covered and the delivery deadline.

12Digital Galleries & File Storage

Photographs are delivered through an online gallery. Videos and other content are supplied through an agreed digital download method.

Photography galleries remain accessible for three months from delivery. Please download your files and keep secure backups within that period.

We do not guarantee indefinite storage after the gallery expires. If files remain available, any charge for restoring access will be agreed in advance.

13Copyright & Client Usage

Shotbychriz_ retains copyright in the photographs, videos and other original content we create, unless a written agreement states otherwise.

For personal bookings, you receive permission to download, print and share delivered work for personal, non-commercial purposes.

For corporate, branding and content creation bookings, your agreement will specify permitted business uses, including whether website use, organic social media, paid advertising or third-party distribution is included.

Clients must not sell, sublicense or authorise uses outside the agreed licence without written permission.

Please do not apply filters or make edits that materially change the appearance of delivered work without agreement. Routine resizing and cropping for permitted platforms are allowed.

14Portfolio Use & Privacy

Shotbychriz_ will seek your permission before using privately commissioned photographs or videos in our portfolio, on social media or in advertising.

Permission for promotional use is separate from permission to provide the booked service. You may decline promotional use.

For business projects, any publication permissions, confidentiality requirements or launch embargoes should be recorded in the booking agreement.

Where children are featured in promotional material, we will seek appropriate permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law and our Privacy Notice.

15Music & Third-Party Materials

Music, graphics and other third-party materials used in videos must be appropriately licensed for the agreed purpose.

Please tell us before editing if content will be used in paid advertising or on particular platforms, as licensing requirements may differ.

If you supply music, logos, photographs or footage, you must have permission for their intended use. We may request evidence of that permission or suggest an alternative.

16Safety & Circumstances Beyond Our Control

We may pause or stop work where there is a genuine safety risk, harassment or abusive behaviour. Where practical, we will explain the issue and give an opportunity for it to be resolved.

If severe weather, illness, venue closure or another event outside our reasonable control affects the booking, we will discuss suitable alternatives and any refund due.

Shotbychriz_ will provide services with reasonable care and skill. Equipment failure or file loss does not automatically remove our responsibility; any remedy will reflect the circumstances and your legal rights.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17Feedback & Complaints

If you have a concern, please contact info@shotbychriz.com with your booking details and a description of the issue.

We will review your concern and work with you towards an appropriate resolution. Please report delivery issues promptly so we can investigate while files and project records remain readily available.

Your statutory rights are unaffected.

18Governing Law & Booking Agreement

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

Nothing in these terms prevents a consumer from bringing proceedings in a court available to them under applicable law.

The version supplied when you book applies to your booking. Later website changes do not alter an existing agreement unless agreed with you.
